For this trip I have only focused on the area in and around the town of Saint-Emilion & Pomerol and even four days were not enough to explore it.. A good reason to go back!
I stayed at Ilot-Vignes, a pleasant little family run B&B in Entre-deux-Mers area, ca. ten minutes drive from Saint-Emilion: http://www.ilot-vignes.com. Claudie’s duck is a must-try!
Producers visited: Chateau St. Christophe and Chateau Villemaurine

Didn’t get a chance to try this Chateau but it was mentioned in Decanter magazine, so watch out for it — in Pomerol.
