Camel Valley Vineyard, Cornwall

If you’ve been following any of the wine industry news, especially in the UK, you will have heard of the rise of English sparkling wine. First name coming to mind would probably be Nyetimber. But there are other rising stars on the horizon, one of them being the Camel Valley Vineyard, run by the charming Lindo family and located in beautiful Cornwall. Many of their wines have earned several awards including the International Wine Challenge and Decanter World Wine Awards and have scored above some big Champagne houses in blind tastings. For more information on the producer visit their website: http://www.camelvalley.com/

I first visited Camel Valley Vineyard in spring this year, when the vines were just about to wake up from their winter sleep…

If you are looking for a place to stay in the area I absolutely recommend this lovely family-run B&B in Bodmin: http://www.stbenetsabbey.co.uk/
