It was an unforgettable one week round-trip through beautiful Tuscany which paved the way to my heart for a new love, the love for wine regions.
We stayed in Siena for four nights, in a wonderful little B&B called Palazzo di Valli (highly recommended – http://www.palazzodivalli.it), which is surrounded by gently rolling hills, and where the view from the terrace is to die for.. There couldn’t have been a better base for our daytrips to Pisa, Chianti, San Gimignano, Val D’Orcia and Montepulciano.
The grand finale of this journey was a two night stay in Florence, at hotel Firenze Number Nine. In November being an off-season period, the hotel offered excellent value for money (http://www.firenzenumbernine.com).
Stunning scenery, delicious food and of course – wine!
